Im new to CTW

Hey guys im new to the ctw world and figured i would say hey. I have just purchased the ctw mx2 cqb. Also ive noticed that there are alot of people that are 50/50 on the ctw. 50 love it and 50 hate it. Anything i need to watch out for? I mean so far this thing is AWESOME! Just wanted to know if there is any problems with the mx2. Thanks.

Most of us love the CTW's - its a cheaper alternative to the PTW but is 97% as good (I prefer to say its the wise man's choice).

You may get the occasional problem along the way which is the same as ANY AEG or PTW, but dont be afraid to ask for help - its what the forum exists for...

The only thing you need to watch is the nozzle on the cylinder - most CTW standard ones fail so you will need to get an upgrade (STTS in the UK make one).

Welcome to the forum. For your ctw needs, I would suggest you hit up Hotspot Airsoft. They deal with CTW. I get all my parts from them. Awsome people over there.

The official statement is that He has so many PTWs coming his way all the time that he doesn't have spare time for CTW's

Personally I'd speculate its an elitist thing. Otherwise he'd just put them on the waiting list to get done...

Well that sucks. I have been checking out Hotspot and they have a lot of parts for ctw. So far I've put about 700rds through it and it has worked flawlessly well except when I used the celcius mag it misfed so I'm just sticking with the Systema mags. Do you know if the Systema cylinder will work in the MX2? Nice profile pic BTW

If you have an MX-2, then yes a Systema cylinder will fit.

It may be a little tight to close due to the variation in cylinder lengths on CTW's so if your struggle just take a couple of the stock shims out (behind the cap on your stock tube where the MOSFET / fuse are) and you should be good to go.
