Been reading a few negative posts recently about some people's experience with the CTW. I'm not sure if it's because of where they were purchased (maybe received a bad batch of guns, or a return), etc

Basically, I was thinking about buying one from Hot spot Airsoft because of their service, etc.

What are peoples general feelings about the celcius...good or bad gun? Worth purchase, or not?

i love my celcius only problem i had with it is i blew a fuse which cost me like 2 bucks to replace with extras lol. theres a slight body wobble but even my m4 when i was in the army wiggled a bit so its not a huge issue.

Thanks for the info. How long have you had the rifles?

I would think twice about it. Mine and my friend's broke the first day we got them. My 300 dollar guns are way more reliable lol.

Ultimate, where did you get yours from? What kind of battery were you using? Were you using the standard cylinder, or did you switch it out for a higher fps?

What happened to yours and your friends?

I got mine from evike. I was using the stock cylinder and a 9.6v battery. A lot of places say to use an 11.1v but that is way too much for it (at least with the stock cylinder). I never got a chance to use the 450 cylinder so I don't know how it would do with it. My guess is that my buddy's gun has a bad wiring harness.

I was thinking of going with the 11.1v 20C 2400mah battery with the stock cylinder (and eventually going to get the 450fps cylinder).

Stuff I have read said that with the newer ECU, you should at least use a 10.8v 2000mah. So, not sure if the lower powered battery that you used could have caused issues...does any know?

Higher voltage equals more strain on the gears. If mine stripped with a 9.6 then an 11.1 would have shredded them. 11.1v is too much for the stock cylinder.

I'm not sure if I agree with you there. If the recommended battery is a 10.8v 2000mha for the stock cylinder, then the 11.1 is not much more powerful. In fact, using a lower rated battery may cause more damage than the higher 11.1.

But, in saying this, I am not 100% sure if I am correct.

Does anyone know?

Using a lower voltage battery could damage the ecu. It's easier on the gears. The low light indicator comes on when the battery drops below 9v. But you have to remember, a 9.6v battery will be about 11-12v when fully charged. An 11.1v might be as high as 13+ volts. So yes it is a big difference.

Overcharging a lipo that much would have caused a fire...you would be lucky to get it over .2, let alone that high, without a fire

Many smart chargers will shut off at as high as 4.2v-4.3v per cell for a total of 12.6v-12.9v. Any higher than 4.2v for an extended period of time will cause the lithium plating to erode, releasing oxygen and causing your battery to swell. If you charge a lipo several times you will see it slightly increasing in size over time. This is because it is charged to peak voltage. Of course there are better chargers out there that don't charge so high, I would say most Asian made chargers do. Do yours not charge this high Rogue??
