Ok which work and which don't?

the ones that comes only with the plastic part like the Magpul PTS MOE are they just to install as is on the buffer tube or what?

i think i have understood that only real steel and GBB buffertubes will work. but how is it for the Buttstock part?

there is a guy (Stilostich)in the picture part of this forum with a magpul PTS stock so that made me hopeful to get one (magpul PTS AEG MOE buttstock or other like it) and install on the ctw buffertube

for the ctw you will need real steel parts there for GBB parts should fit it since they use the same concept

The CTW buffertube is apparently way over 2.9cm (1.148in). It is actualy 2.97cm qnd very close to 3cm (1.168in), the same as the Commercial Version buffertube. Here you can see the CTW buffertube meashure. Your welcome on my great picture quality, cause my cellphone camera is AWESOME!

Here is the Magpul buffertube id document that shows the specs on both versions.

This shows that the Mil Spec stock COULD fit, but I bet it would be a tight fit, while Commercial Version stock will be a better fit for the CTW buffertube. I would prefer a little bit wobble over a stock that will be hard to adjust to be honest.

I will order a Commercial Version Stock and post the fitment result when I get it. And hopefully this backs up my theory..

Okey, here is my update and confirmation. With out a doubt the Commercial Version RS stocks are the way to go!

Got this package in the mail today..

Here is the warning note that tells you to not force Mil-Spec type stock on to a Commercial Version buffertube. It also shows the specs on both types and how to identify..

End result after fitting the Magpul "Commercial Version" MOE stock onto the original CTW buffertube. Slides on without any hassle and close to no wobble what so ever!
