Perhaps some of you know this, but maybe not. I figured I'd pass on this little trick to all the Systema PTW owners out there.
All PTW's can be either full auto or burst. They all have the capability to do both, regardless of which way you bought it.
If you have a burst gun and want full auto, or have an auto gun and want burst, just do this:
The main circuit board in the gun, EL-001, which is the longer one of the two sitting just forward of the gearbox, has three marked dual-solder points on it: P1, P2 and P3.
P1 is the key here.
If the two P1 solder joints are soldered together, you have burst.
If the two P1 solder joints are separate, you have full auto.
So, if you bought an auto gun and want burst, solder P1 together. If you have burst and want auto, use solder wick or a solder-sucker to seperate the P1 connection.

Could this be done on a CTW MX2 ???

I used to have Burst on my old PTW i had 3 years ago. I loved it and i was thinkin perhaps this could be done om my CTW too ??

I have bought and installed a burst ecu in my CTW. I have pulled 80% of the schematics off the ecu, and compared the two. All I can say is that it's different programming in the ecu microcontroller between the two, as electrically they're identical.

So you recon it is possible to do the 3burst mod to the CTW as done with the PTW without haveing to get a 3burst kit..?

Once I finish pulling the schematic out, I'll poke at the microcontroller, see if it's readable or protected. If the former, switching between auto and burst is a matter of reprogramming it. But I fear it's the latter case and you'd have to physically change the ecu.

Aah..now I get it! Our luck it is what you fear that is the matter. Would be too good to be true if it was as easy as a solder job on that sucker to get 3rnd burst mode..lol

Just a small question:
Can i change the electronics(original ctw) to the systema electronics without modifications of any sort?

Greetings

if you change to systema you must also buy the systema power unit( thing inside the buffer tube)
