Ok, so im looking at getting a Magpul MOE Stock. Lantac sell real steel (commercial) ones for £85 posted.

PTWairsoft sell 'modified' PTS versions for £55 + postage.

My question is, in what way does Keith at PTWairsoft, modify a PTS stock.

Next question, does anyone know how the quality differs between a Real steel product and a PTS stock.

My basic question is, is it worth the extra cash for a lantac one?

The other thing is that PTWairsoft does seem to have a delay in postage, where as I would guess Lantac are better Smile

Give JD at Cannock a call mate - Keith at PTW Airsoft is a great bloke but the delays on peolpe getting stuff they have ordered are legendary (he makes Parcelforce look quick).

Ref stock - real or fake, the real version is designed to absorb recoil of a .223 bullet being fired at approx 900 rpm, whereas a CTW doesn't have that issue. The materials they use in replica stocks is better than you will ever need.

Save the cash and buy more mags with the saving...... firepower is your friend!!!!!

cheers

Hmph, cost is my least favourite word, I might just get a clone and see about doing it myself.

Google is my friend!

I found this website saying how to mod one: http://airsoftescepticos.blogspot.co.uk/2011/08/instalacion-culata-magpul-china-en-ctw.html

Gonna get a cheap element copy or something and see if I can do it myself, if not i'll spend out the cash with JD and i've only lost £20.

Please note that the inner diameter of the stock must be at least 1mm larger than the stock tube diameter. I've fitted the original M4 stock to CTW with a bit of dremeling the stock's internal diameter, as it was fitting too tight.

Back from the dead kinda..lol..so sorry for necropost.. Embarassed

Just thinking Id leave this here. As the PTW/CTW buffer tube is Civil Spec, any airsoft version stock will need the shave inside the tube to fit, like the mil spec M4 stock mentioned in the post above. Do note that the stock used in the "MOE stock mod link" may have used either a Civil Spec stock or a shaved airsoft version MOE stock..
