cylinder cs-500 piston busted pics.

So today testing out the gun i had a bb jam and this was the after math. Now i have to get a new piston which cost $40 wtf.

let me help, ive been noticeing that all the celcius cylinders have had the screw loose were it screws to the piston take a phillips screw driver at the tip of your cylinder/ loading nozzle un screw the screw and apply a small amount of med (blue) not red lock tight on the treads and then screw it back in and let dry i can garontee your screw was loose witch caused the damage hope this helps also when this screw is loose you will loose a lot of fps

I had my 450 do the same thing. The screw in the piston kept coming loose and then bam same looking piston.
My was covered by Hotspot.

i used some lock tight so hope this helps.

Just busted another piston. I used lock tight and all.

That spring is just too much for that piston then.

I just got my systema ptw piston and i must say i like it. It looks thicker and stronger then the ctw version. Now i know which cylinder is stronger with my nice red piston. I hope this lasts for a long time.

The same goes for Systema PTW, my buddy got identical issue with PTW and as a result broke the piston, so after all, each cylinder should go piston screw check before shooting. No matter CTW or PTW.

Come on guys, if you had a bb jammed in the hop up. Dont blame it on the piston.
Yes the piston broke but I would rather replace the piston at $40 than it strippes all the gear.
There is only wery few pistons om the marked that can withstand a jam and it usually breaks the gears or motor.
There is a fine line when choosing the right piston between strength and weakness.

And if the spring is too strong how come the pistonhead falls of I don't get that. It is most likely to strip the metal teeth on the piston rather that popping the piston head through the piston.

Blitz: tha last pic you posted can not be too strong a spring only a loose screew.

Just my five cents.

Busted a piston myself with a 440 spring (tuned-down 450). Clean separation of the front cap from the cylindrical part, no loose plastic shards inside the cylinder. Crackline was irregular around the circumference, with between 1 and 3 mm of cylinder still attached to cap. Blue loctite on the piston screw from day 0. needed a vise and two big screwdrivers to dismantle.
No BB jam as I was adjusting my hop-up for the match next day, and was using Marui BBs. No BB was in the hop-chamber after the mishap, so I think it broke at the moment the sector gear impacted the piston rack.

Sounds like going over 450 is suicide with this gun

i was actually thinking of getting a cs-500. I hope there's a solid solution for this.

The Systema piston is t3h sh1t ! I'm approaching the 20k BBs mark and it's in pristine condition.
