I finally got my CTW yesterday. I ordered it through evike (big mistake) along with a box of MAG mags and a 450 fps cylinder unit. Just like half of the stuff I order from evike, the cylinder unit is still on back order. I went to remove the butt plate and the cheap plastic tabs broke off. Why doesn't Celcius make their butt plates with the buttons like Systema instead of the junk Chinese M4 stocks?? I took it out today to sight it in and adjust the hop up. I got about 30 shots out of it before it stopped firing. My first thought was that the fuse had blown, but upon examination I found that my gears had bound up. Did I just get a lemon or are all CTWs this way? Am I the only one regretting buying this gun? I now get to start the process of dealing with evike's AMAZING customer service and pray that they will actually warranty the damn thing.

That would be useful if it were the fuse. Anyone else had gear problems?

Hmm... Sounds like I should have put out the cash for the PTW since I'm probably gonna pay that much to get my CTW up and running. Thanks for the info guys.

you guys having problems call up hotspotairsoft.com and ask to speak with claudio. He is the only guy that really knows how to work on these guns in the u.s. I had some issues like blown fuse etc and after dropping the gun off with him. It's better then when i bought the gun.

Tell him Bruno sent you and he will take extra care of your gun as he did my and friends with celcius.

edit: I wish you guys saw my other thread because i stated do not buy from evike as they were selling old models and broken guns/returns. They are known for that. Evil or Very Mad

Yeah, evike said they wouldn't honor my warranty. Now I'm stuck with a brand new broken gun lol. Took it apart and two planetary gears and the sun gear are shredded.

I'm sorry to hear that. Hotspot was the only company that warranty the guns. You can buy the parts from them it's not expensive at all.

New gears were only $30. Are there any tricks on installing them? Anything I should know?

Systema had to workout the bugs with their guns for 4 years now. They've finally gotten them to the point where they are serious, game able guns after 3 years, and celcius clone PTW can and will suffer from problems, guaranteed, for the first year, or maybe more. They are obviously not in the market to made a better gun, or likely even care about their gun after it leaves the factory.

Will the Celcius be as good as a Systema? No. from having two Systema PTW's to my collcetion and tryed them back to back and my PTW takes the win on the field. No other Chinese clones have proven to be as good as their "master", why should a clone of the most technologically advanced and expensive retailed airsoft gun in the world (special edition and limited-run stuff excluded) be anything other than a clone in need of work before it ever hits the field?.
