polarity issue

hey guys, first post here. just got a CTW and the motor needed to have the comm turned and brushes replaced. so now i have it all together, but the motor runs in reverse (CCW) rotation. reversing polarity has no effect, still rotates CCW, and im scratching my head as to why. the magnets seem to only go one way, top to bottom, so im left puzzled.

searching didnt yield any useful information.

anyone with knowledge that could help would save my day and allow me to run it this weekend.
