Hi hope you can help
Mx2 stopes working today , I thought it was a dead battery
But!!
Put another battery in and nothing
Blue light comes on , but each time I pull the trigger a red and orange light come on the bord in the buffer tube.

Any ideas ? Do I need a new board ?

I believe if this is the same issue as systema's get, its an issue with the motor. Typically systema owners just send theirs away to Tac to get the motors rewound.

Marcus could give you a better answer, or Madwelshman.

Need to chesck a few things first:

1) if you break the gun - can you move the sun gear (the thinner one) with your thumb - it will need a bit of pressure as your turning the motor? If no then gear box is probaly locked, if yes then...
2) Remove the pistol grip - remove the 4 screws and simply pull down. Are the 2 big silver wires still attached to the motor? if yes spin the inner core of the motor a few times and then reconnect your battery and pull the trigger.... if it spins then your motor is probably on its way out OR the bushes have worn (the bits by the soldered connectors that start / stop your motor) if still nothing.....
3) Its probably the MOSFET board....

Hope that helps.

cheers

it IS at least the Mosfet board.

there are no LEDs on that board. So if you see
"red and orange light come on the bord in the buffer tube. "
there is something really wrong.

youll have to check all wires there if they are stripped.

remove the board and the heatsink take a picture of both sides
an send it so i can see the PCB. ill assume you have a short circuit
or a broken line on board.

-- you can send me the board too. all items on this board
can be replaced.

other question .. what exact type of battery did you use ?

It was a blown fuse (I had replaced with LED version) and a jammed box.
All sorted now cheers guys.
Am a little concerned with the amount of carbon (brush) powder there was over the motor
I think the box may be a little tight.

On the plus side I have a FCC hop unit to fit now

No worries - its a simple thing to check the moving parts are all still moving before trying to replace electrics....

The CTW has a clever system of shutting down if it feels resistance etc so they are normally an easy fix once you figure out why they shut down in the first place.

Keep the faith....

cheers
